Ciara Ann Estrada Death News: Ciara Estrada Police Officer Cause of Death, How Did Officer Estrada Die?

Ciara Ann Estrada Death: In a shocking turn of events, Officer Ciara Ann Estrada, a promising law enforcement officer hailing from San Diego, met an untimely demise on January 1, 2018. The news sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many to wonder.

On January 1, 2018, Ciara Ann Estrada, a sworn police officer with the San Diego Police Department, was discovered dead in her residence. It was then that she turned 25.

Her family claims that she gave her town her all and did it with enthusiasm. She was a bright, powerful, intellectual, and successful young lady with a golden heart who loved her family above all else. She was also very enthusiastic about her chosen vocation.

What Happened to Officer Ciara Estrada?

Ciara got ready to go to a New Year’s Eve party at a hotel close by on December 31, 2017, with her boyfriend, who is a police officer sworn in by the San Diego P.D.

Ciara’s long-term relationship took a turn for the worse during a specific time frame, going from 11:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. During the New Year’s Eve celebration, a heated argument broke out among some SDPD colleagues who were present.

This incident was not resolved peacefully by the off-duty officers or her partner, who is known for being easily provoked and probably started the argument. Ciara left the event in an Uber before midnight, traveling solo.

The family alleged that they were not provided with all of the investigation material by the SDPD, despite having statements from her boyfriend and other off-duty SDPD officers.

Ciara’s life tragically came to an end on January 1st, 2018, when she was discovered in her apartment with a fatal gunshot wound to her head. Ciara lived by herself, but her boyfriend had a spare key to the apartment. The family remained unconvinced of the deceased’s alleged suicide.

The family alleged that they were not provided with information regarding the location of the gunshot wound and were denied the opportunity to see her during that period. In a decision that raised concerns about the inquiry’s credibility, the San Diego Police Department took charge of Ciara’s death investigation.

Instead of involving another agency or jurisdiction, they disregarded guidelines and ethical standards by investigating the death of one of their own, who had last spoken to another SDPD officer involved in an altercation shortly before her death, creating a significant conflict of interest.

The death was promptly deemed a self-inflicted gunshot, despite the fact that standard training dictates that all cases of “assumed or reported suicides” should be treated as homicides upon police arrival. The crime scene had become contaminated and hazardous. There were bloody footsteps leading into the living room, and various objects, including the bathroom rug where Ciara passed away, were found with potential DNA evidence from both Ciara and any possible suspect(s).

The San Diego Police Department informed the family that “she took her own life,” stating that it was likely a suicide. No coroner or medical examiner had arrived at the scene yet.
