Fred and Barney are smitten by the waitress and invited to a carnival, with Fred dating Betty and Barney over Wilma. However, couples do not feel a real connection until the two men exchange dates. Fred wins a carnival game and is rewarded with an egg that hatches into a baby dinosaur he calls “Dino”. Wilma invites her new friends home for a birthday party for her father, Colonel Slagupal, where everyone is amazed at his wealth. Fred intends to propose, but changes his mind after meeting Chip, who berates him for his low-level job at Slate & Company. Pearl dislikes the three new friends, but the Colonel, pleased to see Wilma happy, accepts them and personally gives Wilma a precious pearl necklace that once belonged to her great-grandmother. After the boys are embarrassed at dinner, Wilma declares her pride anyway and follows them.

Chip congratulates Fred on wooing Wilma and apologizes for belittling Fred’s work. She invites the four to her Rock Vegas resort as a peace offering. However, this is a ploy by Chip who hopes that Fred is betting so that Wilma will dump him, while Fred sees this as an opportunity to win big so that he can impress Wilma with money like Chips. Chip and his girlfriend Roxy are approached by two gangsters named Big Rocco and Little Rocco who claim that his upcoming marriage to Wilma will give him access to the Slaghupal wealth and the gangsters plan to collect a lot of money owed by Chip. consider it good, so they agree to stop the collection until after the wedding. Gazoo witnesses the entire conversation. When Barney tries to stop Fred from playing high-stakes poker, Chip sends Roxy to lure Barney to an escort at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Chip tricks Fred into missing his meeting with the others. Betty watches Barney wipe the cream off Roxy’s chest and mistakes the movement for a pass. Mick comforts the crying girl Jagged and they go on a date. Wilma breaks up with Fred because he doesn’t spend any time with her. Chip warns him about the thefts and arranges for Fred to lose everything before putting Wilma’s pearls in Fred’s pocket and telling him to evacuate. Hotel security arrests Fred for robbery. When Barney protests that Fred wouldn’t do such a thing and that Fred couldn’t even crack his knuckles without help, Chip accuses Barney of being Fred’s accomplice and has him arrested. Furious that the two stole her away, Wilma returns to Chip.
In prison, the men are visited by Gazoo, who had earlier spied on Chip. Gazoo reveals that Chip is in serious debt to the mob and was hoping to solve both his problems by framing Fred for the heist and planning to marry Wilma to get the Slaghooples’ money. Barney sneaks through the bars, steals the keys and unlocks the cell. Disguised as dancers, they suddenly arrive at Jugged’s dressing room. Barney tells Betty he loves her and they get back together after a misunderstanding involving Roxy at the buffet is cleared up and Barney kicks Jagad out.
Fred plans to disguise himself as Jagged in an attempt to reconcile with Wilma. Meanwhile, in the audience, Chip proposes to Wilma, but she doesn’t respond. Fred then comes on stage disguised as Jagged and briefly sings to Wilma. He apologizes for his behavior before proposing to her. Knowing that she still loves Fred, Wilma happily accepts Chip, and they marry in Rock Vegas’ Chapel of Love, while the gangsters prepare to make Chip pay his way. After the priest pronounces them husband and wife, everyone sings “Meet You.” When Jagged sings “Viva Rock Vegas” at a party, Betty catches Wilma’s dropped bouquet and kisses Barney. The newlyweds are driving with Dino and Gazoo to say goodbye to their friends, family and even handcuffed Chip and Roxy.

Corman, who played Vilma’s father, Colonel Slugupple, was the voice of The Great Gazoo in the original series, and was also the voice of Dictabird in the first film. Stevenson, who played both the showroom speaker and the minister, provided the voice of Mr. Slate from the original series. Krakowski did not want to play Betty, feeling she would overshadow O’Donnell, until she was congratulated by Rosie on receiving flowers and a card that read “From Betty #1 Until Betty #2, now Yabba Dabba’s done it. !” “
The In Viva Rock Vegas opened theatrically on April 28, 2000 and grossed $10,518,435 in its opening weekend, second only to U-571’s second weekend. The film opened on August 17, 2000, grossing $38,268,275 domestically and $24,200,000 overseas for a total of $59,468,275. Based on a budget of $83 million, the film was a box office hit. This was a major disappointment compared to the first film’s $358.5 million worldwide gross.
Like the first installment, Viva Rock Vegas received generally negative reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a score of 25% based on 72 reviews, with an average rating of 4/10. The site’s synopsis reads: “Bedrock’s first full-length feature film, a prequel to Viva Rock Vegas, The . By targeting an audience of adults and children, critics believe Viva will appeal to a wide range of viewers. Metacritic reports a score of 27 out of 100 based on 26 reviews, indicating “generally unfavorable reviews”.
