Lovely Mimi (real name Myha Thi Luong) was born on April 27, 1990, in Vietnam, making her 33 years old (as of 2023). She spent the early years of her life as a refugee in the Philippines with her family. However, when she was three years old, they escaped and emigrated to the United States, with her family settling in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Mimi’s family regularly features in her social media profiles, but she has not revealed much about them. However, going by her posts, she is close with her mother and brother (who is 20 years older than her). In addition, she has five more sisters, including an older sister who still lives in Vietnam.

Mimi’s rebellion landed her into trouble with the law, which saw her spend most of her teenage years in juvenile detention centres and group homes. Eventually, she dropped out of high school, and her mom helped her get a job at a nail salon.

Later, around 2016, she moved to Atlanta, where she opened another nail salon, which she calls the UltraViolet Nail Longue.
